Product Bonus

Written by Aldin Rey

The Product Bonus feature allows you to award additional entries when customers purchase specific products included in your promotion.

When a customer purchases an eligible product, they automatically receive entries based on your base entry settings. You can then apply extra bonuses to certain products to increase the number of entries awarded.

This is useful for promoting specific products or higher-margin items during your campaign.

How product bonuses work

You can apply bonuses to individual products in two ways:

Additive bonus

An additive bonus adds a fixed number of extra entries to the base entry amount.

Example

  • Base entries: 10

  • Product bonus: +5

Total entries awarded: 15

Multiplicative bonus

A multiplicative bonus adds a multiple of the base entry amount on top of the base entries. The multiplier you enter is the add-on factor — not the total multiplier.

Example

  • Base entries: 10

  • Product bonus: ×2

Total entries awarded: 30 (10 base + 10 × 2 add-on)

When to use product bonuses

Product bonuses can help you:

  • Promote specific products

  • Increase sales for featured items

  • Encourage customers to purchase higher-value products

Combining product bonuses with bonus periods

If a scheduled bonus entry period is active at the same time as a product multiplier, the final entry count is calculated as: base entries + [(base × bonus multiplier) × product multiplier]. The bonus multiplier and product multiplier are applied together as a combined add-on to the base entries.

Example

  • Base rule: 1,000 entries per $1 spent

  • Purchase amount: $25 → 25 × 1,000 = 25,000 base entries

  • Scheduled 15x bonus period: 25,000 × 15 = 375,000

  • 2x product multiplier: 375,000 × 2 = 750,000

Total entries awarded: 25,000 + 750,000 = 775,000
