The Store URL is used to track referrals for your purchase promotion. When participants share your promotion, the referral link directs users to this URL so ViralSweep can properly track referral activity.
What URL should I use?
You should enter either:
Your store homepage, or
A product page within your store
These pages work best for referral tracking and ensure customers can complete purchases normally.
Important limitations
Purchase promotions cannot be installed on landing pages.
The ViralSweep widget can only appear on:
The Thank You page, and/or
The Order Status page
Because of this, the Store URL should direct users to a standard page within your Shopify store where they can begin shopping.
Why the Store URL matters
When someone shares a referral link:
The link sends visitors to the Store URL you configured.
ViralSweep tracks the referral source.
If the visitor completes a purchase, the system can properly credit the referral.
