Password reset and account recovery

If you've forgotten your ViralSweep password or need to recover your account, follow these steps.

Reset a forgotten password

To reset your password:

  1. Go to the ViralSweep login page (see: How to log in to ViralSweep)

  2. Click "Log in with email"

  3. Click the "Forgot Password?" link below the password field

  4. Enter the email address associated with your ViralSweep account

  5. Click "Send Reset Link"

  6. Check your email inbox for a message from ViralSweep (check spam/junk folders too)

  7. Click the password reset link in the email

  8. Enter your new password (make it something you'll remember, at least 8 characters)

  9. Click "Reset Password"

  10. You'll be taken back to the login page where you can log in with your new password

Important: The password reset link expires after 24 hours. If it expires, just repeat the process to request a new one.

Didn't receive the reset email?

If you don't see the password reset email:

  1. Check your spam or junk folder — sometimes reset emails end up there

  2. Make sure you entered the correct email address

  3. Wait a minute or two — emails sometimes take a moment to arrive

  4. Try requesting the reset again

  5. If you still don't receive it, you may be using a different email address than you remember. Try logging in with Google if the Google email matches (see: How to log in to ViralSweep)
