One ViralSweep account can only be connected to one Shopify store at a time. If your account is already linked to a different store, or if multiple ViralSweep accounts are connected to the same store, you will need to contact support to resolve it — these conflicts cannot be fixed from within the dashboard.
"Switch Accounts" prompt or wrong store during install
If you see a "Switch Accounts" prompt during the Shopify install flow, or the redirect keeps going back to a store you don't want, this usually means your ViralSweep account is already connected to a different Shopify store.
Clearing cookies, switching browsers, or reinstalling the app will not fix this — the conflict is at the account level, not the browser.
To resolve it:
Contact support and share your ViralSweep email address and the Shopify store URL you want to connect.
Support will remove the existing store connection from your account.
Once removed, you can reconnect the correct store from inside your ViralSweep dashboard (Integrations → Shopify).
⚠️ Uninstalling the ViralSweep app from Shopify does not remove the store connection on the ViralSweep side. You still need to contact support to clear it.
Multiple ViralSweep accounts connected to the same Shopify store
If you see an error stating that your Shopify store is already connected to another account, it means two or more ViralSweep accounts are linked to the same store. This blocks installation and billing.
To resolve it:
Contact support with your ViralSweep email and your Shopify store URL.
Let support know which account you want to keep active.
Support will remove the duplicate connection so you can proceed.
Using ViralSweep across multiple Shopify stores
If you need to run promotions on more than one Shopify store, you will need a separate ViralSweep account for each store. Each account requires its own login email address.
