Contest Moderation

ViralSweep allows you to moderate contest submissions before they appear in your gallery. This helps you review content and approve or deny submissions based on your contest rules.

You can choose whether submissions are manually approved or automatically approved.

Configure Submission Approval

To change how submissions are approved:

Edit → Gallery → Content Approval

You can choose between two moderation options.

Manual Approval

Submissions will not appear in the gallery until you review and approve them.

This option is recommended if you want full control over what content appears publicly.

Automatic Approval

Submissions will appear in the gallery immediately after they are submitted.

You can still review and remove submissions later if needed.

How to Moderate Submissions

To review submissions:

  1. Go to your dashboard.

  2. Locate your promotion.

  3. Click Moderate.

You will land on the Pending tab, which displays submissions waiting for review.

From here you can:

  • Click the ✓ checkmark to approve a submission

  • Click the ✕ icon to deny a submission

  • Click the submission to open a larger preview

In the preview view, you can also:

  • Rotate images

  • Edit captions

Submission Status Tabs

Submissions are organized into three tabs.

Pending
Submissions waiting to be reviewed.

Approved
Submissions that appear in the gallery.

Denied
Submissions that were rejected and will not appear publicly.

Note:
If your gallery is set to Automatic Approval, submissions will still appear in the Pending tab so you can review them if needed.

Sorting Submissions

You can sort submissions within the Moderate section using the dropdown menu.

Available sorting options include:

  • Most Recently Submitted

  • Most Votes

  • Most Recent Hashtag Entries

  • Most Recent Hashtag Votes

Sorting helps you quickly review popular or recent submissions.
