How do I choose winners?
You can randomly draw winners directly from your promotion dashboard.
To get started, open your promotion and click the Winners tab.

Drawing winners
You can draw winners at any time—whether that’s hourly, daily, weekly, or at the end of your promotion.
Go to the Winners tab
Choose the number of winners
Select a date range (default is Any time)
(Optional) Enable repeat winners if you want the same person to win more than once
Click Draw Winners
Your selected winners will appear in the table below.
Choosing a date range
By default, winners are drawn from the entire promotion period.
To limit your draw:
Hover over “Any time”
Select a custom date range from the calendar
This is useful for:
Daily or weekly winner selections
Segmenting winners by campaign phases
Allowing repeat winners
Before drawing, you can choose whether a person can win more than once.
Enabled: A user can win multiple times (common for daily entry campaigns)
Disabled: Each winner will be unique
Managing winners
Remove and redraw a winner
If you need to replace a winner:
Hover over the Status column
Click Delete next to the winner
Draw a new winner
Don’t worry—winners are not notified automatically, so you can safely redraw if needed.
Fraud detection
ViralSweep includes a built-in fraud detection system.
If a winner has an orange caution label, it means:
Suspicious activity was detected (e.g. multiple entries from the same IP)
You can still accept the winner, but we recommend reviewing their entry before confirming.
How random selection works
Winners are selected using a weighted random process:
Each entry counts as one chance to win
More entries = higher chance of being selected
A random number is generated using PHP’s
mt_rand(Mersenne Twister)That number determines the winning entry

What should I do after selecting winners?
Export the winners list and contact them directly via email or phone (if collected).
Will ViralSweep contact winners for me?
No. ViralSweep does not notify winners—you’ll need to reach out yourself.
Can I draw winners daily?
Yes. You can draw winners anytime by selecting your desired date range.
How do I handle multiple prize tiers?
Winners are numbered automatically:
#1 → Grand prize
#2 → First place
#3 → Second place
I made a mistake—what should I do?
Simply delete the winner and redraw. No notifications are sent automatically.
