Comments App Setup

Connect Posts

You can connect posts or videos from any Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube page you manage. If you’re running a campaign across multiple posts, you can connect them all—our system will automatically collect comments from each one and count them as entries.

Before you begin:

  • Your Instagram account must be a business profile to pull in comments.

  • If it’s not, you’ll need to convert it first.

To connect a post:

  1. Select the page you want to pull posts from.

  2. Browse the available posts.

  3. Click Choose Post on the one you want to connect.

Once connected, your post will appear in the Connected Posts section.


Promotion Settings

Duration

Choose when your promotion starts and ends by setting:

  • Start date and time

  • End date and time

These times determine when we begin and stop collecting comments.


Tip:
If your campaign has already ended, enter dates in the past so we can pull all existing comments.


Entry Settings

Decide how entries are counted:

  • Yes → Each comment counts as a separate entry

  • No → Each user gets only one entry, no matter how many comments they leave


Promotion Title

Give your promotion a name so you can easily find it later.
This title is internal only and won’t be visible to participants.


Click Done to finish setting up your campaign.


Viewing Entries

To see who has entered:

  1. Click Entrants on your campaign

  2. View each participant’s:

    • Social handle

    • Profile link

  3. Click the + icon to see their comments

Note:

  • It can take 5 minutes to 1 hour for comments to appear after connecting posts

  • New comments are pulled in hourly


Viewing Analytics

Click Analytics on your campaign to see:

  • Total comments

  • Unique commenters per post


Drawing Winners

When you're ready:

  1. Click Winners

  2. Enter the number of winners

  3. Click Draw Winners

Winners are selected randomly from all eligible entries.

Important:
We only provide the winner’s social handle. You’ll need to contact them directly via Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube to award the prize.


Troubleshooting

I’m not seeing any entrants

  • Initial comment sync can take up to 1 hour

  • New comments are added every hour

  • If nothing appears after several hours:

    • Edit the campaign

    • Disconnect the post

    • Reconnect it


I can’t find my promotion

If your promotion’s dates are in the past, it will appear under Ended Promotions.


Some users have more entries than others

This happens if you allowed multiple entries per comment.

To fix:

  1. Update the entry setting

  2. Disconnect and reconnect your post
