By default, all social actions are collapsed when a user enters your promotion. This means users need to click on each action to view and complete it.
The Expand Social Actions setting allows you to automatically open a specific action as soon as a user enters your promotion—making it more visible and increasing the chances it gets completed.
When Should You Use This?
Expanding a social action is helpful when you want to:
Highlight a priority action (e.g., follow on Instagram, refer a friend)
Guide users toward the most valuable engagement
Reduce friction by removing the need for an extra click
How It Works
When a user submits the entry form, the selected social action will automatically expand
This draws attention to that action and encourages immediate interaction
Important Limitations
You can only expand one social action at a time
If you select a different action to expand, it will override the previous selection
Multiple actions cannot be expanded simultaneously
What the User Sees
After entering your promotion:
The selected action opens automatically
The user can immediately view instructions and complete the action without additional clicks
Tip: Choose the action that provides the most value to your campaign to maximize engagement.
