EZ Texting

1) Connect to EZ Texting

When setting up your promotion, go to:

  1. Integrations > Email & SMS.

  2. Click Add Service > EZ Texting.

2) Complete the connection

To complete the connection within ViralSweep:

  1. Input your EZ Texting Username and Password into ViralSweep.

  2. Click Connect.

  3. A dropdown menu will appear with your groups. Select a group. Click Connect.

3) You're connected

The promotion is now connected to EZ Texting and all entries will be sent into your account.

Troubleshooting

If you have connected to EZ Texting and data is not being added to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why:

Invalid Phone Number
The phone number entered into the promotion is not a valid phone number, is in a format EZ Texting does not accept, or it is an international phone number that EZ Texting does not accept.

Email/Phone already entered into ViralSweep
The email address or phone number entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to EZ Texting. This can happen if you set up your EZ Texting integration after you have already entered the promotion.

SMS entries lower than total entrants (phone field required)
Even with the phone number field set as required, your EZ Texting count can still be lower than your total entrants. The most common cause is the spam filter — if it's set to High (1 entry per IP), those entries still appear in your total entrant count but are not passed to EZ Texting. Go to Entrants > Invalid to see if entries were flagged.
