This feature is only available on the Business Plan or higher.
Note: This integration cannot be used with purchase-based promotions (e.g., Shopify promotions).
Step 1: Connect to Attentive
When setting up your promotion:
Go to Integrations → Email & SMS
Click Add Service
Select Attentive
Step 2: Add Your Credentials
To complete the connection:
Log in to your Attentive account and grant ViralSweep access
Locate your Signup Source ID:
In Attentive, click Sign-up Units (top-left)
Under Sign-up method, find API
Copy the ID shown
Paste this ID into ViralSweep
Important:
You must use the API sign-up method. Custom sign-up methods will not work.

Step 3: Confirm Your Connection
Once connected, all new promotion entries will automatically sync to Attentive.
Step 4: Add TCPA-Compliant SMS Opt-In Language
When building your ViralSweep entry form, include an SMS opt-in field with compliant language such as:
I agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages (e.g. cart reminders) at the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition to purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Reply HELP for help and STOP to cancel. View our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
For full compliance, confirm your language with your Attentive account manager.
What Data Is Sent to Attentive?
The following fields are passed automatically:
First Name
Last Name
Email Address
Phone Number
Address (including Address 2, City, State, Postal Code, Country)
Birthday
Referral Link
Promotion ID
Auto Login URL
Tracking Campaign Name
Troubleshooting
If data isn’t appearing in Attentive, check the following:
Invalid Phone Number
The number may be incorrectly formatted
Attentive may not support the number (e.g., some international numbers)
Duplicate Entry
If a user has already entered the promotion, their data won’t be re-sent
This often happens if the integration was added after entries began
User Didn’t Opt In
The user must confirm via SMS (e.g., reply to Attentive’s message)
Without confirmation, they won’t be added to your Attentive list
