Overview
Planning to send an email to your existing email list to promote your promotion and want to automatically have the users email address filled in so they don't need to fill it out again?
Prefilling the users email address into our form is as simple as adding a link in your email that you send out. There is no code, or developer required. You simply need to use the merge tags your email service provides. We've provided a full list of examples below for each email service we integrate with.
Implementation
You need three things to prefill the email address field on your form.
1) Your email service's merge tag for "email" (provided below).
2) The ViralSweep parameter ?vs_email=
3) The URL of where your ViralSweep promotion is.
A full example using a service like MailChimp would look like:
yourwebsite.com/sweepstakes?vs_email=*|EMAIL|*
When you send this email from MailChimp, the email address field will automatically get populated in our form with the users email address.
