1) Connect to Shopify Email

When setting up your promotion, go to:

  1. Integrations > Email & SMS. 
  2. Click Add Service > Shopify.

2) Connect to Shopify

If your store is already connected then you are all set. If your store is not connected, it will ask you to install our app to connect it.

3) Complete the connection

To complete the connection within ViralSweep:

  1. Input tags that you want us to pass with customers to Shopify.
  2. Click Connect.

4) You're connected

The promotion is now connected to Shopify and all entries will be sent into your Shopify account.

Do you update customers?
Yes, if you run a promotion and we pass someone to Shopify, then you run another promotion in the future and the same person enters, we will automatically update their information in Shopify (if any new information is provided).


Troubleshooting

If you have connected to Shopify and data is not being added to your account, these are the most common reasons as to why:

Email already in Shopify 
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your Shopify account, so it will not be added again.

Email already entered into ViralSweep
The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to Shopify. This can happen if you set up your Shopify integration after you have already entered the promotion.

Phone number exists for another customer 
Two customers cannot have the same phone number in Shopify. If someone tries to enter your campaign and we attempt to pass them to Shopify but that phone number is already tied to a different Shopify customer, then their information will not pass through.

Delay in reporting
Shopify is having a delay in reporting. Please check again in a few hours.
