1) Connect to Rare

When setting up your promotion, go to:

  1. Integrations > Email & SMS. 
  2. Click Add Service > Rare.

2) Get Rare Credentials

In order to get your Account Name: 

  1. Login to Rare.
  2. Go to Account > Store Settings.
  3. Copy your Account Name.

3) Complete the connection

To complete the connection within ViralSweep:

  1. Add your Rare Username, Password and Account Name.
  2. Click Connect.
  3. A menu will appear with your lists. Choose a list and click Connect.

4) You're connected

The promotion is now connected to Rare and all entries will be sent into the connected list.

*Please note: Rare does not currently support passing custom fields.


Troubleshooting

If you have connected to Rare and data is not being added to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why:

Email already in Rare
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your Rare list, so it will not be added again.

Email already entered into ViralSweep
The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to Rare. This can happen if you set up your Rare integration after you have already entered the promotion.

Delay in reporting
Rare is having a delay in reporting. Try checking again in a few hours.
