This feature is only available on our Business Plan and higher.


1) Connect to HubSpot

When setting up your promotion, go to:

  1. Integrations > Email & SMS.
  2. Click Add Service > HubSpot.

2) Get HubSpot Credentials

In order to get your API Key:

  1. Login to HubSpot.
  2. Go to Settings > Integrations > API Key.
  3. If a key has never been generated for your account, click Generate API Key. If you already have a key, click to reveal it and copy the key. 

3) Complete the connection

If connecting to a HubSpot list:

  1. Paste your API Key into ViralSweep.
  2. If connecting to a list, skip the other fields and click Connect.
  3. A menu will appear with your HubSpot lists. Choose a list and click Connect.

Please note: Our HubSpot integration can only pull in static lists. The HubSpot API does not allow contacts to be manually added to dynamic lists, so we will not return any of your dynamic lists.

If connecting to a HubSpot Form:

  1. Paste your API Key into ViralSweep.
  2. Input your Account ID and Form GUID. To find your Form GUID, go to forms and click the form you want to use. In the URL you will find the form GUID:
  3. Click Connect once all of your credentials are put in.

4) You're connected

The promotion is now connected to HubSpot and all entries will be sent into your HubSpot account.

Troubleshooting

If you have connected to HubSpot and data is not being added to your list, these are the most common reasons as to why:

Wrong Form GUID
Your Form GUID is not correct. Disconnect from HubSpot, then re-connect and try inputting your Form GUID again.

Required fields missing on Form
Your form has required fields that are not on your campaign. Check your HubSpot form settings to see what information you are asking for. For example, if you are asking for first name, last name, and email on your HubSpot form, but your ViralSweep form is only asking for email, then it will not pass the data through.

Email already in HubSpot list
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your HubSpot list, so it will not be added again.

Email already entered into ViralSweep
The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to HubSpot. This can happen if you set up your HubSpot integration after you have already entered the promotion.
