1) Connect to Oracle Eloqua
When setting up your promotion, go to:
- Integrations > Email & SMS.
- Click Add Service > Eloqua.
2) Complete the connection
To complete the connection within ViralSweep:
- Login to Eloqua.
- Authorize the ViralSweep app.
3) You're connected
The promotion is now connected to Eloqua and all entries will be sent into your account.

How do I segment contacts in Eloqua to know they came from ViralSweep?
ViralSweep passes through a unique promotion ID to Eloqua for every user. To find your promotion ID in ViralSweep, look at the promotion in your dashboard and below the title you will see #promotion-XXXXX. You can also find the promotion ID by clicking edit on the promotion in ViralSweep and it will be the 5 or 6 digit number in the address bar.

If you have connected to Eloqua and data is not being added to your account, these are the most common reasons as to why:
Email already in Eloqua
The email address entered into the promotion may already be in your Eloqua list, so it will not be added again. However, we may update the contact information for that user with any new information that was provided.
Email already entered into ViralSweep
The email address entered into the promotion has already been entered into the promotion previously, so therefore it is not passed to Eloqua. This can happen if you set up your Eloqua integration after you have already entered the promotion.
Delay in reporting
Eloqua is having a delay in reporting. Try checking again in a few hours.
